MAX
A Division of The Gulliver Project
  • Eight (8) Lesson Modules Lessons are comprised of 2-3 slideshows which ideally should be watched in order.
  • 15 “Live” Exercises that are fun, challenging and designed to make students think – just like everyday business people who must make decisions without having all the answers!  (MAX implicitly assumes that students won’t have been exposed to all or even much of the information necessary to make the “right decision” – more importantly, there usually isn’t a “right decision”!)
  • 70 Additional Exercises and/or discussion questions (in Teacher Guide), ranging from “show of hands” to group discussions.  Many of these could easily comprise an entire class if desired.

  • Over 150 Student-initiated hot links (accessible from downloadable Powerpoint slides) connecting students to variety of powerful and intriguing information, such as:

    • Articles from leading business, educational, scientific and  “lifestyle” magazines, ezines, newspapers and journal

    • Websites of companies or organizations pertinent to the module subject matter

    • Definitions (i.e., Wiki, industry standard textbooks, etc.)

    • Did you know?” stories and trivia about key people, themes, historical events, cultural and commercial trends that are impacting industry and careers, etc.

    • (Web pages of) hard data and statistics from recognized organizations of influence (i.e., the United Nations, the U.S. State Service, Chamber of Commerce, the World Bank, Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.)

    • Research, “white papers” and survey reports from academia, industry, financial/marketing media, non-governmental organizations and “think tanks”

    • Interviews (articles) with CEO’s, foundation and organizational directors, bureaucrats, civic leaders professors, consultant/experts and others

  • Detailed, easy-to-use Teacher Guide that, in addition to supplemental exercises, also provides (over 100) helpful hints, background info and other “what to look for” advice.  The Guide is ideal for the seasoned or substitute teacher.

  • Attractive discounts on (optional) supplemental books created by Stephen Banick specifically for the “global classroom.”
