It’s the mission of MAX to help foster this preparation. It’s our belief that for the most part, educational institutions have either not been aware of the magnitude of our challenge, and/or have lacked the tools and resources (e.g., funding, community/state support, etc.) to aggressively address our slipping qualifications. And, since commerce makes the world go ‘round, there’s no better place to start changing this situation than with marketing, business, and other curricula that are most affected by these paradigm shifts and – by definition – must become more and more “global.”
To pull off a generational mind-shift, however, requires more than just pedantically preaching a bunch of scary statistics to teenagers – or blaming anyone (there’s more than enough of that to go around). It necessitates inviting them, making them feel welcome, and intriguing (yes, “edu-taining”) them. In short, it requires presenting the world to them in a way they’ve never seen or imagined it before – one ripe with the lure of passion, profit and fun; and, a world that they get to (have to) steer in a few short years.
Thus MAX’s unorthodox approach. We make it real, we make it fun and we offer solutions. We’re looking for educators, parents and partners who share our commitment.
