Our books, e-Learning programs and professional speaking presentations are specifically designed to prepare educators and students – tomorrow’s leaders – for passionate, profitable and productive exchanges in their coming professional careers and personal relationships. The company was founded by Stephen Banick based upon his observations that North American youth are woefully unprepared for the impact that emerging global forces may have upon their careers, their social interactions and even, potentially, their standard of living. The company’s name stems from the hapless adventurer in Jonathan Swift’s classic Gulliver’s Travels. Intelligent and brave, our friend Gulliver was nonetheless naïve – “gullible” Gulliver – and often survived only through sheer luck or the good deeds of others. Thus, in a shrinking world defined by increasing “cross-cultural collisions,” it is only appropriate that we, as modern-day Gullivers, receive a greater foundation from which to make informed and powerful decisions. Accordingly, the goal of The Gulliver Project is to make our global colleagues visible, inviting and accessible, so that the business, civic and organizational leaders of tomorrow will be more fully engaged in creating productive relationships and peaceful, prosperous societies. |
